A homemade fajitas recipe! Discover how to make awesome Fajitas at home. Though originally only with steak, popular meats in Fajitas today also include chicken, pork, shrimp and all cuts of beef. This recipe is for Chicken Fajitas, an original taste of Mexico and Texas (Tex-Mex), where the Fajitas were born. To eat with a Mexican beer, Sol or Corona!
Now let’s start, shall we?
Here is the ingredients list. You will need:
- chicken chest - sweet peppers (one yellow, one red and one green) - one purple onion - cayenne pepper in powder - one lemon - guacamole sauce (avocado) or anything you like if you don’t have guacamole - sure cream - 2 tomatoes - olive oil - salt and pepper - lettuce - wrap bread
We will focus first on preparing the ingredients; don’t forget that a good chef always put everything in order before cooking.
Cut the 3 sweet peppers in small pieces, cut the onion, cut the lemon, cut the chicken in small cube. Cut the tomatoes in pieces, put them in a bowl and pour some olive oil, salt and pepper it.
At this point everything is ready, we can start cooking!
In a frying pan, pour some olive oil, then throw the sweet peppers and make them fry softly, do the same for the onion. Add salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. When it’s ready, pour this mixture in a bowl.
Now we are going to cook the chicken, pour some olive oil in the same frying pan and the chicken, we will then keep the sweet peppers flavour, press the lemon to sprinkle the chicken of juice.
When the chicken is cooked, mix it with the vegetable mixture and you are ready to eat! Be sure that your wrap bread is hot a little; you may have put it in the stove before the chicken is ready.
On your wrap bread you pour chicken, topped with pieces of lettuce, guacamole sauce and pieces of tomatoes, you may add some sure cream. Roll it and eat it!
